Live Review // ATTACK! Pro Wrestling GooseBUMPS VI // Drew Parker vs. Splits McPins
ATTACK!'s Halloween spectacular was back for the sixth time with the Trinity Centre in Bristol as the host of the grizzly graps. This year's edition was hit by taking place on the same day as a NXT UK taping and a big RevPro event, meaning a whole host of regulars, including ATTACK! Champion Wild Boar and 24/7 Champion Pete Dunne, as well as the likes of Chris Brookes, El Phantasmo, Aussie Open, Millie McKenzie, Travis Banks, Eddie Dennis, Trent Seven and Tyler Bate were all absent. It was definitely a blow and a test of the depth of the ATTACK! roster, but offered up opportunities to the likes of Drew Parker and Splits McPins who main-evented in Halloween Havoc 2018, as well as The Hunter Brothers colliding with Team WhiteWolf in a "Grudge" match. The show also featured action involving Martin Kirby, Mike Bird, Damian Dunne, Chuck Mambo and Spike Trivet...but was it any good? Lets take a look.
FUN fact - This was the first GooseBUMPS missing appearances from Pete Dunne and Eddie Dennis (with at least one of the pair having main evented every incarnation of the event, including together on the original and third shows), meaning Mike Bird and Damian Dunne are the only two to have wrestled on all six shows.
The show kicked off with an appearance from ATTACK! General Manager and general scamp Kid Lykos, who announced that former tag partners turned bitter rivals LK Mezzinger and Splits McPins would be taking part in Pick Your Poison at the show, with both men able to choose their enemies opponent. Cheers Lykos.
A solid opener saw 2 time ATTACK! Tag Team Champion LK Mezinger pick up a victory over former ATTACK! Champion Damian Dunne. The bout continued the narrative of a disheartened Dunne, still recovering from the breakup of the Anti-Fun Police at the hands of Nothing to Prove in August, keeping things short and sweet as we were provided with glimpses of the old Chief including a thunderous spear that garnered a big pop from the Trinity Centre and that felt like it could have been a turning point. Mezinger didn't look out of place with a more experienced performer, working well in the spoiler role, as he mocked Dunne and provided the early ammunition with a massive slap. I'd like to see the character fleshed out slightly and a few of the disparate elements (the outfit, the cane, the nickname of "Your favourite scumbag" etc.) bought together more to create a better defined persona, but that will surely come with more singles exposure over time. Dunne attempting his springboard lungblower finish (without trademark "No Funahhhhh") was a running theme throughout, so of course it would eventually be his downfall with Mezinger able to transition into a cradle belly to back piledriver. It was a shame that the following move, a senton bomb, missed by a mile taking the punch out of the finish that really didn't require the top rope move after the more impressive piledriver.
FUN Fact - This was LK Mezinger's first singles win in ATTACK!, having previously suffered losses to Big Grizzly and Tyler Bate.
Nothing to Prove continued to gain momentum as ELIJAH put away Niwa in what was a strong showing from both performers. This was probably the best singles work I've seen from either as they paced the bout well and plotted in a few brilliant spots. I've been waiting to be impressed by both men for some time and whilst both have shown potential in multi-mans and tag outings, this was the first singles match that I've been genuinely into from Elijah, whilst in the case of Niwa, it's difficult to buy into someone you mostly see in scramble matches. It wasn't a must-watch classic, but both men took the opportunity and produced a match that was full of action and physicality. The obvious highlight of the match was the massive springboard coast to coast dropkick that ELIJAH used to knock Niwa off the apron on the other side of the ring, because it came almost completely out of nowhere and took me completely by surprise. I'm hoping both men get more opportunities like this one around the country because it will only be a benefit to both the performers and the scene in general.
FUN fact - Niwa is still searching for his first ATTACK! singles win, after previously suffering losses to Travis Banks in July and Mike Bird in August.
Okay, the first two matches had been alright, solid stuff, but where the fudge was my Halloween goodness? It came in the form of a Grudge Match for the Tag titles, which the Hunter Brothers took literally as they appeared to have been transformed into the spirit from Halloween classic, The Grudge. Team WhiteWolf on the other hand reminded us that "No one expects the Spanish inquisition" as the Spaniards arrived as the Monty Python sketch to hilarious consequences. Seriously, I struggled to breath through portions of this match, with some utter silliness displayed by both teams as they played up the roles and had a number of ludicurous interactions in the opening portion of the match. The variant on the cliche bridging pin reversal spot was the highlight, before the Hunters were offered a beer and quickly snapped back into their usual selves. From then the match shifted into something much more recognisable as The Hunter Brothers continued to show why they're thought of as one of, if not the, best tag team in the UK with a number of sleek tag team sequences including a lovely superkick spot. Whilst there was some miscommunication that lead to a really awkward dive spot, Team WhiteWolf still had a strong showing, flying about the place with ease and pulling out a number of cracking tag moves, including a missile dropkick variant of Total Elimination (Totaller Elimination?), as well as a top-rope Spanish Inquisition Fly from A-Kid. They aren't the finished article yet, but more matches like this will help them get there.
FUN Fact - The Hunter Brothers have been undefeated since the break up of the Anti-Fun Police at WinterSlam 3, with their run as a duo extending back to the second night of Press Start VI.
The second half began with more Nothing to Prove success as Chuck Mambo (as a creepy face-painted Love Making Demon) defeated Martin Kirby (as Uncle Fester off of The Addams Family). A little bit spookier than the previous Nothing to Prove singles match, but with similar structure, it's difficult for those match not to merge into one in my head, but this was probably the strongest of the three. Whilst it lacked the emotional element of the opener and the big spot from ELIJAH vs. Niwa, this was just a good solid wrestling match, with the two working nicely together in their first one on one bout. Whilst it feels like Mambo is still settling into his heel character, the role allows for him to explore his style in ways that the happy-go-lucky surfer gimmick doesn't, with Chuck able to display (perhaps oxymoronically) both his technical talents and fiery brawling side. Kirby is, of course, one of the most dependable and consistent performers in the country and worked well in his role, getting the crowd behind him with ease, despite having not performed for ATTACK! in Bristol since December 2016, thanks to some offence like his springboard dropkick and by not being a part of Nothing to Prove. A nasty bump of heads on an O'Connor roll into sleeper hold could have derailed the finish, with Mambo suffering a nasty wound under his eye, but they kept on with a couple of good near falls for each, before the dreaded sleeper hold sealed the win for Mambo.
FUN Fact - Martin Kirby has never won a match at ATTACK! in Bristol.
HALLOWEEN MADNESS! If there's one thing this show will be remembered for it's that Spike Trivet dressed up as Theresa May and came out to Dancing Queen. As soon as I realised what was about to happen, a few seconds into the famous song, until the end of the match I was in absolute stitches, with Trivet owning every second of his Bristol ATTACK! debut. He was part of a four way scramble, that also featured Mike Bird (as Big Mummy), Shay Purser (as Kung-Fu Panda) and Nico Angelo (as Tarzan), that was stacked full of the silliness that ATTACK! is most loved for. There was the ridiculous Big Mummy character, a parody of World of Sport legend Big Daddy, full of lots of insider stuff to pop those who got it, the delightful Purser just trying to Kung Fu shit and Angelo with a more animalistic twist on his super flippy and athletic self, what more do you want from a batshit mad four way? Trivet pulled it all together with his various Spinnatory attempts, with the match peaking when Trivet offered £20 to Angelo to do a dive for him, quickly swapping for banana when he realsied Tarzan didn't understand the concept, before striking Angelo in the junglefruits. The finish saw Bird going nuts with piledrivers and Steiner Screwdrivers for all, before Purser completely no sold a top-rope over the shoulder Tombstone and won with a swift punch to the stomach. This had actually been set up earlier in the match with Purser unable to use the move because of Big Mummy's big belly (a hoodie inside Bird's singlet) but with the belly now gone Purser was clear to hit the move and pick up the win. Side note: Purser moving up the belt classes of pro wrestling is really cute gimmick that will hopefully become even more interesting and dramatic as things progress.
FUN fact - Mike Bird ties Travis Banks for most ATTACK! four-way appearances in 2018, although neither man has managed to win one.
The best thing to come out of all the absences on the show was that Splits McPins and Drew Parker got a big opportunity to main event in a singles match and grabbed that opportunity with both hands. With a Halloween Havoc No Disqualification type gimmick, this was a rough and tumble clash with plenty of menace behind it, with the pair having issues since the start of the year (including McPins' tag partner LK Mezinger (fka Lloyd Katt) defecting to NTP). The match built well throughout, shifting through the gears well, moving from back and forth seated punches to big shots with plastic wet floor signs to stapling balls and apron bumps, there was pretty much no let-up or lull as McPins and Parker consistently upped the ante. Parker's experience in the Hardcore zone/sphere meaning he was able to come out on top of number of exchanges was a nice little story, that threaded the match together, making this feel more main event than throwaway plunder brawl. Some big highspots helped towards this aim as well, with a nasty death valley driver on the apron from McPins and Parker's avalanche falcon arrow through a table being the most memorable. The finish saw things develop further with a clever ref bump that involved Parker stapling McPins mask back to front and putting referee Huw in place for a superkick, before thumbtacks and LK Mezinger arrived on the scene. Mezinger accidentally clobbering Parker with his cane almost immediately was a nice way of playing with the audiences expectations, especially after three previous Nothing to Prove victories, whilst McPins ended up with a convincing victory after a Full Moon and a solo More Bowl for your Buck into the drawing pins. These lads stepped up and using a few tricks to get there, produced a good main event that didn't look out of place on regular ATTACK! event.
Post-match - There seemed to be issues between Mezinger and Parker, I'm intrigued to see if that leads to anything on the last few shows of 2018.
FUN Fact - Splits McPins has only lost one singles match in ATTACK!, to Tyler Bate at Club One Hundred #2 in September 2016.
This was a lovely fun show, with every match being somewhere in the solid to good range and nothing looking to outstay it's welcome. Whilst it would be wrong to say the absences weren't noticeable and that no match was without its issues, pretty much everyone that had to step up on these shows did and I think that's part of what made it such a lovely experience as a fan. Perhaps ironically this was most notable with the group that calls itself Nothing to Prove with all four members proving their ability and/or potential as singles guys across the card and whilst it's arguable that the group was seen too much on a six match card, the experience will be invaluable to all four as they continue to grow. ELIJAH out performed my previous estimations, whilst Drew Parker looked extremely comfortable in the main event. It's difficult to pick a match of the night, because I wouldn't class any one match as "must-watch", but there were certainly stretches of the Hunters vs. WhiteWolf, the four-way scramble and Parker vs. McPins main event that would make any of those three worthy winners. It's been questioned recently the effect that WWE running NXT UK events reguarly in the UK will have on the Indy scene, but If GooseBUMPS VI is anything to go by ATTACK! Pro Wrestling and British wrestling as a whole has enough talent coming through to keep things entertaining for quite some time and perhaps not having to rely on big names will allow new and fresh talent to come through.

Wrestle Ropes Ready for the Weekend: July 2016 Week 5 - Good Wrestling, TW, PROGRESS & ICW
We didn't have an article last week because real life got in the way and gave us no time for anything, including eating and possibly breathing on a few occasions so our apologises to you the reader and to Across The Pond Wrestling. But no more as we're back this week and what a weekend we have coming up in British Wrestling. We're firstly heading to Milton Keynes for Friday before travelling north to Annan on Saturday, a hop across the border to Glasgow on Sunday then back to London the same night ass we're always time-travellers. Enough of this verbal ping-pong! Let's get Ready For The Weekend!!
First up this weekend on Friday night is GOOD Wrestling who are holding their third event, The Power Of 3 at The Craufurd Arms in Milton Keynes. For it only being their third show, GOOD Wrestling have been delivering quality matches from the start and this show looks to follow the trend.
One match that is sure to be hard hitting affair will be between Mike Bird and Wild Boar. These two men were originally supposed to be partners at GOOD Wrestling's last event. However fate decided that Boar would not be able to make the show. Bird took exception to this and now he wants retribution against his fellow Welshman and he'll hope to get it this Friday.
Damian Dunne shall be making his GOOD Wrestling debut this Friday. Dunne is a very serious man. He's not a man who finds enjoyment in much except dealing out pain to his opponents so he is unlikely to be happy about his opponent, Jack Sexsmith. A Sexsmith by name, also by nature, Jack will no doubt really annoy Dunne this Friday night in Milton Keynes. Unless he keeps one eye on Dunne, Sexsmith could well find himself no longer having fun again.
The self-proclaimed "Number One" will not be the only member of the Dunne family in action at 'The Power Of 3' as Pete Dunne shall also be present. “The Bruiserweight” is well known with his smash-mouth style and impressive technique making him a formidable athlete. His opponent, Pastor William Eaver is used to formidable though as he has achieved success of equal measure to Dunne in recent times. Eaver already holds a major British Wrestling championship while Pete shall be making his Pro Wrestling Guerilla debut in the near future. This is a match that not only showcase the young talent on these shores but give us a glimpse of what is to come in the future of British Wrestling.
Match Card
This Ain’t No Picnic (Big Grizzly & Panda Cub) vs The Dazzler Team (Darrell Allen & Earl Black Jr)
Jack Sexsmith vs ‘Number One’ Damian Dunne
Wild Boar vs Mike Bird
Gene Munny vs Chris Brookes
Pastor William Eaver vs ‘The Bruiserweight’ Pete Dunne
‘All Day Star’ Ryan Smile vs ‘The Superstar’ Ashley Dunn
Moving on to Saturday and Target Wrestling make their return to Annan at The Carnegie Theatre. While only three matches have been announced at present, TW put on good quality events every time the roll into a town.
Shady Nattrass will be in action this Saturday when he defends the High Octane Division Championship against man who beat him only a month ago, Khifie West. West's victory over the champion came during the finals and is undoubtedly his biggest win to date. The question is, can West make history repeat itself and take the High Octane Division Championship in the process.
Speaking of High Octane Division champions, James Scott shall be competing against The Coyote Kid at The Carnegie Theatre. Scott a former champion, will be sure to use his extensive skills and experience against the big fan-favourite, Kid. A win for Kid over such an experienced opponent could do a lot for his young career. A loss could be a lesson he may not soon forgot or wish to repeat.
The third match confirmed so far will see Spyda be in a Target Wrestling ring as he faces one of the finest young wrestlers today, a man who calls himself “The Best Young Wrestler In The World”, Lewis Girvan. Now while you could assume that title is egotistical, Girvan is a man who backs up what he says in the ring. Spyda is indeed a fine high-flyer and has a lot of talent. He'll need every bit of it against Girvan. One mistake may be all that Girvan needs to showcase why it's not bragging when you back it up.
Match Card
High Octane Division Championship
Shady Nattrass (c) vs Khifie West
James Scott vs The Coyote Kid
“The Best Young Wrestler In The World” Lewis Girvan vs Spyda
The main event of this event will see Marty Scurll get a chance to reclaim the PROGRESS Championship when he faces Pastor William Eaver. Eaver won the championship at Chapter 32 back in June and since then Scurll has been irate to the point that he attacked one of PROGRESS's co-owners so badly to get his rematch that the owner has since left the company. Eaver used his Natural Progression Series championship cash-in to win the championship and he quite rightly had the perfect opportunity to do so. However, Scurll showed how ruthless he can be to get something he wants that we now have no idea how far he shall go to get what he believes was stolen from him. Eaver now has a demon hunting him that he must exorcise at Chapter 33 but Scurll's anger may be so great that not even God himself can stop him this Sunday.
Whoever walks away the champion this Sunday will know what awaits them next as Mark Haskins shall face Will Ospreay to determine the number one contender to the PROGRESS Championship. These men are world-class in anyone's eyes and would both be worthy challengers to any championship including the PROGRESS Championship. Haskins the SMASH Champion and Ospreay the NJPW BOSJ 2016 winner are credits enough for an opportunity. We could see another world-class match this Sunday when these two men meet in the squared circle. PROGRESS have always been a promotion that showcases the best of British and any stars from outside the UK are there for a reason and not just a name. This Sunday will be no different.
The London Riots stated that they would defend the PROGRESS Tag Team Championship against anyone, anywhere. PROGRESS Wrestling are holding them to that when the team of Hanson and Ray Rowe of War Machine step up to the challenge. London Riots are known for their powerful offence. War Machine are probably one of the few teams who can equal that power. London Riots have some the whole UK why they have the reputation they do. War Machine are world-travelled and will be looking to show the UK again why they have the the same reputation.
Match Card
PROGRESS Championship
“The Villain” Marty Scurll vs Pastor William Eaver (c)
PROGRESS Tag Team Championship
The London Riots (Rob Lynch & James Davis) (c) vs War Machine (Hanson & Ray Rowe)
PROGRESS Championship Number One Contender
“The Star Attraction” Mark Haskins vs “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay
“The Mexican Sensation” El Ligero vs “White Lightning” Mark Andrews
The Dunne Brothers (“The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne & “Number One” Damian Dunne) vs Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven)
“Liverpool’s No.1” Zack Gibson vs “The Extraordinary Gentleman” Jack Gallagher
Wasteman Challenge
“Bodyguy” Roy Johnson vs ???
This show will result in a major change for ICW with control of the promotion on the line in a six-man tag team match. Red Lightning currently owns 51% of ICW's shares, where as ICW creator; Mark Dallas owns 49% therefore making him minority shareholder. However if Dallas' team of Noam Dar, Grado and a third competitor win, Lightning will be forced to sign over 1% of the company to Dallas, making him an equal shareholder. But if Drew Galloway, Jack Jester and Wolfgang win for Lightning, Dallas shall sign over his 49%, removing him entirely from ICW. Dallas wants a say in the promotion he created and has had to resort to this match for a chance to do so. A win will mean that Lightning can't do as he pleases in ICW anymore without Dallas' approval. A loss for ICW's creator may not only destroy ICW but Dallas himself.
This Sunday will see DCT finally get his hands on Bram in a match that he has wanted for a year. Back at 'Shug's Hoose Party II', Bram attacked DCT and his new wife, Viper during their wedding leaving Viper being unconscious. Since then, DCT hasn't been the same. Every time that Bram was in ICW, DCT was waiting. Bram may have stopped or escaped DCT but this Sunday there will be no escape. This match will be inside a steel cage and nothing is going to stop DCT from unleashing the anger which has boiled inside him for the last 12 months. DCT is known as The Lone Strike, this Sunday he'll look to be the lone man walking out of the steel cage.
The main event this Sunday will see the ICW World Heavyweight Championship on the line when champion, “The Beast Of Belfast” Big Damo defends against “Iron Man” Joe Coffey. The Black Label have tried in vain to take the ICW World Heavyweight Championship from Damo since he won it. On the other hand, Coffey has had to deal with Black Label interfering in his business for just as long. While Damo has overcome everything Black Label has thrown at him, Coffey has also done the same to get his opportunity. The fans have wanted this match for a long time and finally it's going to happen. Whether Black Label will get involved is still be seen but regardless we are going to see two true heavyweights of professional wrestling collide for one of the most prized championship in wrestling today.
A worldwide audience will see on iPPV what happens when two powerhouses of British Wrestling collide in one of the biggest shows in ICW's history where more history could be made.

Wrestle Ropes' Ready for the Weekend: July 2016 Week Two - FCP, SWE & RevPro (Andy Scotland)
This weekend as with
almost every weekend, British Wrestling is bulging with events all
over the country. This week's edition see's us in Wolverhampton,
Stevenage and London with some pretty big shows. So without any
further ado, let's get Ready For The Weekend!
The weekend kicks off
on Friday with Fight Club: PRO at the Fixxion Warehouse in
Wolverhampton with 'Rage Against The Death Machine'.
The main event shall see 'The Death Machine' Sami Callihan bring his rage to FCP when he faces the man who has been the foundation of the promotion, 'The Super Don' Trent Seven. Both of these men are known for a style which can be brutal at times. We expect this match to showcase the strong style these men are known for.
We've spoken before about the issues between The Hunter Brothers and the Facesmashers. Well things have still not been settled between these two teams and doesn't look like it will be any time soon. To add another chapter to their storied rivalry, Hunter Brothers will be in singles action when Lee Hunter faces Dan Moloney while Wild Boar shall compete against Jim Hunter. Don't expect two matches that have clean decisions is all we'll say about these contests.
Travis Banks arrived in Fight Club: PRO a number of months ago and was an instant hit as he has been all over the country. He's back again this Friday and he'll have possibly his biggest match since relocating to the UK when he faces the WWE Cruiserweight Classic's Zack Sabre Jr. Banks has impressed everyone as we have mentioned and this shall be a real test and opportunity to impress even further when he faces a true world-class wrestler in ZSJ.

Moving on to Saturday
and we head to Stevenage for Southside Wrestling Entertainment "Gunning For Glory" at The Gordon Craig Theatre.
The show will see the feud between Stixx
& Flips' Stixx & Chris Tyler and The Second City Collective's
Ryan Smile & Damian Dunne continue. These two teams have been fighting back
and forth for ages with Stixx & Flips finally securing themselves
a shot at the SCS's SWE Tag Team
Championship. However before their championship match, both teams shall meet again in a six-man tag team match with Marshall X joining
The SCS and former WWE star D'Lo Brown aligning
with Stixx & Flips. Both teams will be looking for the win give
them a mental advantage over the other before the gold is on the
line.
Robbie X turned on his partner a number of months ago and
since then has had no contact with SWE. That was
until very recently when he challenged Mark Haskins to a street
fight. Haskins has been waiting for the chance to gain revenge
and wasn't ever going to back down from this challenge. The unknown
in this match is what sort of mental state shall Robbie X be in. He
was extremely angry and aggressive the last time we saw him in
SWE. Could he be even more dangerous now?
The main
event this Saturday will see the bad blood between The Righteous Army
and El Ligero finally come to an end. Hopefully. We'll see Righteous Army's Joseph Conners, Paul Malen, Kay Lee Ray & The
Pledge face Ligero, Nixon Newell, Hardcore Holly and a fourth
mystery partner in an elimination match. If Ligero's team defeat Righteous Army, then they shall be force the disband immediately.
However a loss for Ligero would see him forced into joining Righteous Army. This is a match that neither team can afford to lose
for their long-term future.

Finally we end the
wrestling weekend with a trip to London which is where we tend to end
our weekends through either coincidence or just luck. This weekend
see Revolution Pro Wrestling's 'Summer Sizzler 2016' take place at
the York Hall in Bethnal Green, London.
The main event for this match
is the calibre that we have come to expect from RevPro as Zack Sabre Jr will defend the Undisputed British
Heavyweight Championship against Katsuyori Shibata. This match would
not look out of place on a New Japan Pro Wrestling event and could
well be one of the best matches we see in 2016. This match is so
difficult to call that RevPro have already ensured
that Shibata will be available for a future event in the event that
he wins this Sunday. London is likely to see something very special.
Pete Dunne has risen to the top of RevPro at
lightning speed, capturing the British Cruiserweight Championship
on his first night. Since then he has delivered stand out matches
each and every time. His challenger this Sunday is well-known for
standing out as he's the 2016 New Japan Best Of The Super Juniors
winner and former champion; 'The Aerial Assassin' Will Ospreay. These
men have already had and shall continue to have the most successful
year of their young careers in 2016. A win for both men would only
add to that success.
Matt Sydal has been a regular visitor in
Revolution Pro Wrestling and has a number of highly rated matches
with men of similar size and style. However this Sunday he'll have a
match with a man who is everything that is opposite of his style,
'The Beast Of Belfast' Big Damo. A true heavyweight who is known for
his hard-hitting style. Sydal has worked for the biggest
promotions in the world and faced equal world class competition. Damo will add to that world class competition this Sunday but he
shall be an opponent the likes of Sydal may have never faced
before. Talent and speed shall be Sydal's allies in this match. Damo will know Sydal's skills and will look to add another
international scalp to his impressive list of opponents.

Wrestle Ropes' Ready for the Weekend: May 2016 Week 3 - HOPE, CHIKARA UK, PCW, FNW, PWC, Pride, Ironfist, BWP, Reckless Intent, LCW Elevation and FSW
This week's edition will be slightly different from normal. Due to there being a lot of events this weekend we've decided to have a quick look at 11 of the shows taking place. So let's get Ready For The Weekend.
The wrestling weekend kicks off this Friday when HOPE Wrestling are heading to Bedford and the venue of Esquires. Three matches have been announced for the show with the main event seeing 'The Righteous' Joseph Conners taking on Ashley Dunn, a man who has faced the likes of Will Ospreay and El Ligero in recent months. Also scheduled for May 20th are Joey Ozbourne putting his undefeated streak on the line against two-time Kings Of Flight winner, Chris Tyler and White Tiger taking on DOA in singles action.
This Friday shall also see CHIKARA teaming with Fight Club: Pro to kick off the first portion of their Aniversario tour of the UK "The Chikara Special", in Newport, Wales at The Neon. While the expected Chikara stars will be on the shows, there is also a wealth of British stars involved in the whole tour which takes place across the weekend. Highlights across the weekend include Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) facing The Colony (Soldier Ant & Fire Ant) in Newport, K.Y.S. (MK McKinnan, Pete Dunne & Damian Dunne) teaming up against Nixon Newell, CHIKARA Grand Champion Princess Kimber Lee and Heidi Lovelace at Fixxion Warehouse in Wolverhampton, before Fight Club: Pro Champion MK McKinnan faces Eddie Kingston in singles action at Bush Hall in London on Sunday. Chikara's UK Tour will then roll through Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow next weekend (and Bank Holiday Monday)
Moving on to Saturday and Preston City Wrestling will be making their debut in Liverpool at the Fusion Nightclub. The main event of that show will see Noam Dar taking on former WWE star John Morrison in a match which will be their third meeting in PCW. Grado shall also be in action on May 21st and has the chance to become a champion when he faces the current PCW Heavyweight Champion; Sha Samuels for the gold. Viper, who has just returned from Japan a few weeks ago will be facing Ireland's Martina in a first time meeting between the two.
Saturday will also see Fight Nation Wrestling in action when they head to Eastbourne for 'Lethal Lottery'. The event will see Sammy Smooth, James Castle, Sid Scala, Jakey, Bruce & Ryan Smile participating in a tournament where the six men will be drawn into three teams. Those teams will face each other in a round-robin series of match with the team with the most wins going forward to the final. Those two men will then face each other in the final with the winner earning a FNW British Championship match. Speaking of the FNW British Championship, Mark Haskins will be defending the championship against Joseph Conners on Saturday. Ring Of Honor World Heavyweight Champion; Jay Lethal will also be in attendance on May 21st when he faces Josh Bodom in a non-title contest in Eastbourne.
Our friends over at Pro Wrestling Chaos are bringing back their hugely successful Total Chaos event this Saturday night at the Yate Leisure Centre in Bristol. The night sees a plethora of stars coming together except for one big difference. Nobody knows who they are facing as all the matches are decided at random on the night. Last year saw some great contests take place and this year is bound to be no different with the King Of Chaos Champion; Wild Boar, El Ligero, Mikey Whiplash and international stars, Colt Cabana and Johnny Gargano all taking part in the aptly named 'Total Chaos' event.
Heading south and Ironfist Wrestling are at the Rainbow Hill Social Club in Worcester. The show has two matches announced so far as Alex Gracie shall be defending the Flyweight Division Championship in an Infinity gauntlet match against Killian Jacobs, Chris Custodio, Matt Hovis, Tommy Sparks, Daniel Arrowsmith, El Kazador, Christopher Drew, Sugar Shay Morris and Joey Scott. Odds on Gracie leaving as champion are 10% and that's not the best chance for the champion. The show will also see the debut of Alex Windsor, formerly known as Liberty who shall be facing Millie Marks in singles action in Worcester.
Finally, Britannia Wrestling Promotions shall see all their championships on the line at the Denbighh Town Hall this Saturday. Marc Morgan shall be defending the PWI:BWP World Catchweight Championship against Danxig. Babyface Pitbull shall also defend the Champion Of Wales title when he faces Dave DelVecchio. We're guaranteed new BWP World Tag Team Champions as the vacant titles will be up for grabs in a match to be announced. There shall also be a 10-man rumble where the winner will hold a Money In The Bank contract for a championship match of their choosing.
Rounding off the weekend on Sunday and Reckless Intent Wrestling are holding their Battle Of West Lothian tournament in Knightsridge, Livingston. The tournament shall see Michael Chase, Jam O'Malley, Sean Mercer, Theo Doros, The Westler, Rob Mills, Delsin Dayre and Jackie Grady compete in four quarter final matches, with the winner progressing to the semi-final and eventually the final all in one night. With a current champion and numerous top members of Reckless Intent's roster all vying for the win, it's a tournament with a lot of unknowns as to who will walk away the winner.
LCW Elevation are at Brockington College in Leicester on May 22nd with 'Ambition'. The main event will see 15 men compete in an over the top rumble match with the winner earning a match for the LCW Elevation Championship. The disturbing group of The Asylum will be in action this Sunday when they face the trio of Shauna Shay, Zak Northern and a third partner of their choosing. The Asylum have been running rough-shot for a while now. This trio will look to stop that momentum. Brett Ryans war against Joseph Conners will continue this Sunday when he faces another close ally of The Righteous one, Lucas Archer. Ryans has taken out Conners friends before and look to add another to the list.
HOPE Wrestling hold their second event of the weekend on Sunday this time in Warsop. The show will see Kyle Kingley try to do what his tag team partner, Robert Sharpe couldn't do a few weeks back, defeat 'The Mexican Sensation' El Ligero. Speaking of Robert Sharpe, he'll also be in action when he faces CJ Banks in singles competition. Martin Kirby shall be defending the HOPE Championship this Sunday as well when he compete against Lucas Archer for the first time ever.
The final event of the weekend will see Futureshock Wrestling back at the Stockport Guild Hall. The show shall see James Drake finally defend the Adrenaline Championship for the first time since January. It might be his last though as his challenger is Jack Gallagher, a man who is due to feature in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic in the near future. Fellow champion, Lana Austin will also be in action this Sunday but her championship will not be on the line. However, if her opponent, Violet Vendetta was to win, it would put her as a very serious contender to the Futureshock Women's Championship. Former Futureshock Champion, Xander Cooper will be competing this Sunday when he faces a man who is everything he is not, Sam Bailey. Both these men want a win over the other to put them on the path to hopefully once again become cahmpion.
That wraps up this week's preview of the weekend's wrestling schedule. Of course, there are many more events taking place over the three days.
