Wrestle Ropes Ready for the Weekend: August 2016 Week Three - GPW, IPW:UK & ATTACK!

After a few weeks of being away due to one thing or another we're back and with quite a tasty looking weekend coming up, it's just in the nick of time! This week we are off back to Hindley in Wigan for Grand Pro Wrestling on Friday night. Saturday shall see IPW:UK back in Snodland, Kent for their 'Future #20' event and Sunday will round off the weekend with a trip to Cardiff for Attack! Pro Wrestling's return to Walkabout. Let's get Ready For The Weekend!

Friday night kicks off the the wrestling weekend with Grand Pro Wrestling holding their Midsummer Madness event at The Rose Club in Hindley, Wigan.

The show will see the return of the Fast Track 4-way match where the winner will challenge for the GPW Heavyweight & British Championship the same night. This time will see Jimmy Jackson, Ashton Smith, RJM and Joey Hayes compete in the match. This is a huge opportunity to jump right to the top of the mountain in GPW and become a champion.

If the Fast Track winner decides to challenge for the GPW Heavyweight Championship, they could be facing one of two men this Friday. Current champion, T-Bone is already scheduled to defend the championship against Dylan Roberts in what shall no doubt be a nasty and brutal match. Both men will also have to keep in mind that they could well be defending the championship again the same night if they win.

We're in for organised chaos at Midsummer Madness as two sets of tag teams teams will have to co-exist in an 8-man tag team match when The Island Brothers and The Midnight Bin Collection face the duo of Martin Kirby and The Sheikh and The Hate League. Soner Dursun and Danxig of Hate League are the current GPW Tag Team Champions which will be on the mind of everyone in the bout. Island Brothers and Midnight Bin Collection would love a win over the current champions as a way to have future championship match. One question to be answered is can Hate League trust Kirby and Sheikh to have their back or will they have their own agenda at The Rose Club.

Moving on to Saturday and the Snodland Community Centre will play host to International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom Future #20

Scott Star who has been on a winning run in recent months will be taking on the biggest and toughest opponent of his career this Saturday when he face world-traveled star, PJ Black. Star is used to facing high flying opponents and has matched them every time. Now is a step up in skill with 10-year+ veteran PJ Black as his adversary. If Star can continue his winning ways this will be the biggest win yet of his young career and could lead to amazing things.

Championships will be on the line this Saturday at Future #20 as Danny Duggan and Cieran Donnelly defend the IPW:UK Tag Team Championship. DND have had a lengthy reign as champions and are as close as brothers in the ring. Their challengers, they are possibly even closer as they are actual brothers. The Dunne Brothers. Pete and Damian Dunne are highly skilled individual wrestlers and together are exceptional. DND have welcomed all challengers so far and will indeed face a challenge in Dunne Brothers. A tag team classic in IPW:UK could well take place at the Snodland Community Centre.

Chakara is a young star from the IPW:UK training academy with a lot of potential. She has competed in a few matches in IPW:UK and has impressed each time. She faces a real test this Saturday though as she'll be competing against former IPW:UK Women's Champion, Jetta. While there may be a revolution taking place within women's' wrestling right now, Jetta was fighting all over the British Isles longer before it started. She's faced some of the best in the world. Chakara will learn a lot in this match regardless of the outcome. She'll also learn what it takes to face someone of a calibre like Jetta and if she has what it takes at this point in her young career.

The wrestling weekend rounds off with Attack! Pro Wrestling making their return to Walkabout in Cardiff with (Thank God It’s Not) Winter Slam

The show will see the semi-finals of the ATTACK! Championship tournament take place.
The first semi-final will see “The Pride Of Wales” Eddie Dennis take on Wild Boar while “Ginger Jesus” Mike Bird shall compete against Los Federales Santos Sr. If you can pick the winner of these matches then you're either guessing or have the gift of foresight. The only think we do know is that after Sunday we will know the final of the tournament to crown a new champion in Attack! Pro Wrestling.

This Sunday will see the return of Pete Dunne who will compete for the first time since being suspended for attacking a member of Attack! Pro Wrestling's staff at a previous event. His opponent will be another man making his return, “The Mexican Sensation” El Ligero. Often attributed as being the hardest working wrestler in Britain, Ligero has faced Dunne on numerous occasions. Each time they have met, they've been memorable. There is little doubt that these two men are going to deliver another cracking match this Sunday.

The main event at Walkabout in Cardiff will see Bayside High's Nixon Newell and Mark Andrews defending the ATTACK! Tag Team Championship against Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos of CCK. These two teams have met before over championship gold and they tore the house down. This time they may actually tear down Walkabout as this defence will be a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match. All four of these competitors take big risks in normal matches in the pursuit of a win. The carnage that is going to take place with tables, ladders and chairs all being legal is unfathomable!

Match Card

That wraps up this week's preview of the weekend's wrestling schedule. Of course, there are many more events taking place over the three days. Wrestle Ropes' Ready for the Weekend: April 2016 Week 1 - GPW, Southside & ICW

Well after a week off last weekend, we're back with the latest edition and what a weekend it's bound to be. As you shall all know, this weekend is the biggest in the whole calendar of professional wrestling thanks to a little show taking place on the other side of the Atlantic this Sunday. However, it's just a regular old weekend here in the UK with bumper load of events all over this wrestling isle. Let's get Ready For The Weekend!

friday
grand pro wrestling only the strong survive
hindley, greater manchester, england

Friday night kicks off with Grand Pro Wrestling who are back that their home of The Rose Club in Hindley, Wigan. Their Only The Strong Survive event is packed with names with chaos bound to ensue. One championship up for grabs is the GPW Tag Team Championship. The Hate League will be defending the championship against 5 other teams in GPW's first ever Tornado Cibernetico. The teams challenging Hate League are some of the most successful in GPW with two sets of former champions and three long standing duos all fighting it out to walk away as champions.  From one multi-man match to another as the current GPW Heavyweight and GPW British champions; T-Bone and Bubblegum join forces with Chris Ridgeway and Ashton Smith to face the group of Dylan Roberts, DDL, Craig Kollins and Travis Banks in an 8-man Survivor Series style match. Everyone wants to make an impression in this match and wins over certain people could be very lucrative in the future. One man with an opportunity that could also be lucrative in the future is 'Jumpin' Jimmy Jackson. Jackson is currently scheduled to compete in the next Fast Track 4-Way in May. However, Ricky J McKenzie is hell-bent on getting a shot at the GPW Heavyweight Championship by whatever means he sees necessary and has demanded a match for this Friday. Therefore, he will now face Jackson with the agreement that if he beats him, he will take his place in the Fast Track 4-Way.

saturday
southside wrestling entertainment raw deal v
stevenage, hertfordshire, england

Moving on to Saturday and Southside Wrestling Entertainment hold the fifth installment of their Raw Deal event at The Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage. As usual from Southside there is a blend of homegrown stars with a mix of international names as well. One international name who shall be making his Southside debut is Cedric Alexander. A mainstay in Ring Of Honor, 'The Lumbar Legacy' will now step in the ring with the longest reigning Speed King Champion in history in the shape of Martin Kirby. 'The Zoidberg Master' is one of the foundations of Southside Wrestling and British Wrestling as a whole. Alexander is known for bringing his non-stop style to every match but his opponent, Martin Kirby does exactly the same. Opportunity is the keyword for four teams this Saturday as they fight it out to become the next number one contenders to the Southside Tag Team Championship. The Young Wolves, The Hunter Brothers, Stixx & Flips, and The Inter Coastal Violence Connection are all competent as both individuals and teams so a winner in this match won't be easy to pick. While Hunter Brothers and Young Wolves have more experience as teams, the new team of Stixx and Chris Tyler or the birth of Chris Brookes and Travis Banks brand-new team could provide an upset and head straight to a championship match. When Angelico announced his tour of the UK, he went on record as saying he wished to face the best. Well he's going to get his wish this Saturday in Stevenage as he will be facing former Southside Heavyweight & Tag Team Champion; 'The Star Attraction' Mark Haskins. When a Haskins match is announced, you don't ask whether it will be good, you ask just how good it's going to be. Angelico is no walkover by any means and will be a serious challenge to Haskins. That being said, Angelico may end up thinking twice about asking to face the best when the best is world-class.

sunday
insane championship wrestling barramania II
glasgow, scotland

Finally ending the weekend on Sunday and Insane Championship Wrestling return to the the world-famous Barrowlands in Glasgow with BarraMania II. While ICW will be immortalised in the Barrowlands Hall Of Fame, the event will also see two roster members leave the promotion on the same night. Firstly, Nikki Storm shall compete against her former intern, Sammii Jayne. What started off as productive relationship soon turned sour as Sammii found herself overshadowed by 'The Best In The Galaxy'. After standing up for herself, Sammii now wants Nikki gone from ICW and in-turn Nikki wants to see the last of Sammii. Somebody is getting their wish this Sunday. April 2nd will also see one team walk away without their manager and possibly their championship gold. Since winning the ICW Tag Team Championship, The 55's Kid Fite and Sha Samuels have been rather reluctant to give Mark Coffey and Jackie Polo of Polo Promotions any more opportunities at winning the gold back. Polo Promotions had to resort to attacking The 55's manager, James R Kennedy with a steel chair before ICW majority owner, Red Lightning would grant the match. However he added the stipulation that at BarraMania II the match shall be an I Quit Towel contest with the added dimension that whichever manager throws the towel in for his team will be force to quit ICW. When the biggest weekend in professional wrestling comes around, it's only fitting that member and former members of one of the biggest dominating factions in ICW history would collide. BT Gunn and Chris Renfrew of the New Age Kliq were shocked when their allies and family, Wolfgang and Stevie Boy turned on them and aligned themselves with Red Lightning and the Black Label. Since then they hatred as grow to epic proportion between to two groups and now it's come to a head. Former brothers will meet in the ring this Sunday and settle their differences. However, not everyone may be walking out.

Wrestle Ropes' Ready for the Weekend: January 2016 Week 4

We're back with another bumper weekend of British Wrestling events this week. This weekend we shall see Grand Pro Wrestling come 'Back With A Bang', witness an 'Outbreak' at Alpha Omega Wrestling and see what happens when you 'Chat Sh*t' at PROGRESS Wrestling. Let's get Ready For The Weekend!

Kicking off the wrestling weekend on Friday night and Grand Pro Wrestling are at The Rose Club in Hindley, Wigan with 'Back With A Bang 2016', their first show of the year. The event shall see The Island Brothers together as a team for the first time in over a year. Their opponents, The Bad Lads have been growing stronger as a team in the time that The Island Brothers have had other issues to deal with. Now the brothers are back together they will be looking to regain their place in the tag team division but face a big challenge right out the blocks. The GPW Tag Team Champions, Midnight Bin Collection will also be in action on Friday night as they join Joey Hayes to face The Hate League's Dylan Roberts, Danxig & Soner Dursun in a six-man tag team match. Joey Hayes has previous with The Hate League, most notably Soner Dursun who turned on Hayes during the North West League to join Dylan Roberts & Danxig. The Hate League will no doubt have their focus on winning gold in the near future and a win over the current tag team champions would certainly put them in the running for a title match. However, a win won't come easy over s
such a trio of Midnight Bin Collection & Joey Hayes. The main event for January 22nd will see both the GPW Heavyweight & British Championships on the line. At Grand Pro Wrestling's last event, Bubblegum & T-Bone ended up walking out with a different championship from the one they started the night. On Friday night we're going to see both men try to recapture the title they lost and walk away with both championships.

full card

*GPW British Championship Vs GPW Heavyweight Championship*
Bubblegum (c) vs T-Bone (c)

*Six-Man Tag Team*
Hate League (Danxig, Soner Dursun & Dylan Roberts) vs Joey Hayes & Midnight Bin Collection (Ste Bin Mann & Jet Fashion)

‘Magnificent’ Matthew Brooks vs DDL

The Island Brothers (Tabu & Rio) vs The Bad Lads (Drill & Mickey Barnes)

‘One Man Riot’ Craig Kollins vs Ashton Smith

Cyanide vs Noah

Travis Banks vs ‘The Priority’ Chris Ridgeway

Moving on to Saturday and Alpha Omega Wrestling kick off 2016 with 'Outbreak' at the Winter Gardens in Morecambe. After Chris Ridgeway's narrow loss to Stixx for the Alpha Omega Heavyweight Championship at 'Fightmare Before Christmas', Sam Bailey tweeted to Ridgeway to “keep his chin up” and that his “chance to shine would come”. Chris Ridgeway did not appreciate to encouraging words and a war of words was soon being traded on social media. Alpha Omega Wrestling never being a promotion to shy away from letting issues be settled in the ring have therefore scheduled a match for January 23rd between the two. Sam Bailey is one of the most popular men in AOW history, Ridgeway one of the most hated. Bailey will look to make his return to Morecambe a winning one. Chris Ridgeway looks to show Bailey that his time is right now and he's already shining bright. Since their arrival, The Referendum have been in pursuit of championship gold. A pursuit that they thought may soon be over when they were involved in a tag team match with Sexy Kev & Mr Big Shaun Vasey to crown the Alpha Omega Tag Team Champions. However something happened that The Referendum had never experienced before. They lost. When they then lost another chance to win gold, their leader, Laird Grayson (who was suspended) used a steel chair on Big Sexxxy. Tired of the oppression that The Referendum have forced on Alpha Omega Wrestling, Big Sexxxy challenged The Referendum to a street fight which The Referendum accepted on the conditions that the championships were on the line and that Laird Grayson would be reinstated if they won. The champions accepted the conditions. However Alpha Male Stallion added one of his own. If Big Sexxxy win on Saturday, Laird Grayson isn't suspended, he's fired! The main event at 'Outbreak' shall see Stixx defend the Alpha Omega Heavyweight Championship for the first time since his win. A win which he did not get to celebrate after being attacked by 'Local Hero' Joe Hendry just minutes after claiming the prize. Stixx wants revenge for his moment being taken away and he's prepared to put the championship on the line to do so. If Stixx allows his rage to take over then Stixx might not only be the first ever Alpha Omega Heavyweight Champion, he might be the shortest reigning one as well.

full card

*Alpha Omega Heavyweight Championship*

*Alpha Omega Tag Team Championship: Street Fight (If The Referendum Win, Laird Grayson Is Reinstated, If Big Sexy Win, Laird Grayson Is Fired)*

*Six-Man Tag Team*
RJM, Cyanide & Ryan Hunter vs ‘The Leader’ James Drake, Barricade & ???

‘One Man Riot’ Craig Kollins vs ‘Ultraviolent’ Chris Silvio

Lana Austin & Alexis Rose vs The Referendum (‘The Best In The Galaxy’ Nikki Storm & Carmel Jacob)

The weekend is rounded off with another sold out event from PROGRESS Wrestling who are back at The Electric Ballroom in Camden, London with 'Chapter 25: Chat Sh*t Get Banged'. The main event for January 24th shall see the PROGRESS Champion, 'The Aerial Assassin' Will Ospreay defend the championship against 'The Villain' Marty Scurll. This match came about after Marty Scurll took it upon himself to attack Ospreay after a successful title defense in Manchester. Threatening to break the champion's arm unless he was given a championship match, PROGRESS management were given no choice but to agree. Scurll then showed why he is known as 'The Villain', smashing Will Ospreay's arm with a steel chair anyway. Since then, this match has become personal with Ospreay asking for the match to be no disqualification which was granted. Yes, there is gold up for grabs on Sunday but it's more than that. It's personal. Whoever walks away with the PROGRESS Championship will have the luxury of knowing who their first challenger will be as 'The Star Attraction' Mark Haskins and 'Liverpool's No.1' Zack Gibson will compete to become the number one contender to the PROGRESS Championship on Sunday. Both of these men have an impressive run as of late with neither being defeated in recent months. Both have a valid right to challenge for the gold but only one man's run is continuing past January 24th. For anyone who follows PROGRESS Wrestling and their ENDVR events will know, the women of PROGRESS have been at the forefront. They have main evented shows and delivered show-stealing contests every time. Now they are going to show once again what they can do when Pollyanna, Toni Storm, Jinny & Dahlia Black compete in a fatal four-way match this Sunday at 'Chapter 25: Chat Sh*t Get Banged' in Camden, London.

Wrestle Ropes' Ready for the Weekend: December 2015 Week One

We're back once again on Across the Pond Wrestling, to look at a packed three days of professional wrestling around the UK. Long running rivalries will be settled, a company will set a new attendance record for themselves and another promotion heads to a whole new area. Let's get Ready For The Weekend.

On Friday night, Grand Pro Wrestling are back at The Rose Club in Hindley, Wigan with their final show of the year, Double Jeopardy. The event will see all of Grand Pro Wrestling's championships on the line including a four-way battle between Bubblegum, T-Bone, RJM & Craig Kollins where both the GPW Championship and GPW British Championship shall be defended at the same time. All four of these men have had issues with each other in the past year and there is a lot of conflict heading into the match. Not only could we see one championship change hands on December 4th but we could see two changes in just one match. The Island Brothers were one of Grand Pro Wrestling's most dominant teams until Rio's sudden disappearance. Forced to fight by himself, Tabu began to question Simon R Valour's involvement in his brother's mysterious absence. Well he soon found out what part Valour had played in the disappearance when Rio returned and turned on his brother. Tabu sees Simon R Valour as the reason for this attack and now he wants revenge on his former manager. A normal match wasn't big enough for these two to settle their issue so the contest will be a chain match. But with his brother at ringside, will Tabu get the revenge he seeks? Another championship on the line on Friday night will be the GPW Tag Team Championship. As the winner of the North West Rookie League, Danxig was awarded a championship match of his choosing. He has decided that his mentor, Dylan Roberts and himself want tag team gold. Their opponents, The Midnight Bin Collection are a unique duo but have proven numerous times that they are a formidable team who will provide a huge challenge to the duo of Danxig and Dylan Roberts. Add in the element that this will be a Tables match and Danxig may regret challenging The Midnight Bin Collection or the North West Rookie League winner might show why he walked away with the NWRL in the first place
.

Full Card

*GPW Tag Team Championship: Tables Match*

Moving on to Saturday and Pro Wrestling Chaos host Rhynos, Boars, Birds & Beards at the Yate Leisure Centre in Bristol. This show has already broken Pro Wrestling Chaos' pre-sale record and will no doubt be sold out on the night. When you see some of the matches on offer, you see why. At PWC's last show, Pariah Khan announced that Jeckel was challenging Tommaso Ciampa to a match on December 5th. Ciampa is never one to back down from a fight so the match is on and Jeckel gets to face one of the hardest hitting men in professional wrestling today. However, the Chaos regular is no weak man himself, he has ploughed through numerous men on the Pro Wrestling Chaos roster. We're seeing two men go full speed at each other this Saturday. Since Gideon was replaced in The Doomsday Killers by Ian Williams, he has made it his mission to gain some retribution. The group themselves have been throwing out challenges to anyone who would stand in front of them. Ian Williams has now challenged Gideon directly to a six-man tag team match and Gideon hasn't backed down a step. He has called on Mikey Whiplash and 'The Man-Beast' Rhyno to join him in facing KillBane, Big Grizzly and Ian Williams this Saturday in Bristol. The Doomsday Killers want to make an example of Gideon, who is out to start a war. A war that The Doomsday Killers may regret instigating. The main event of Rhynos, Boars, Birds & Beards will see Mike Bird defending the King Of Chaos Championship against Wild Boar in a 30-Minute Iron Man match. These two men have fought over of the title for the last few months. Boar cashed in his championship match contract on Bird, who then won the title back the very next show after a mysterious man took out Wild Boar. This feud needs to be settled and one fall won't be enough to do it so we're going to find out who is the better man and who can score the most falls to walk away with the King Of Chaos Championship this Saturday.

Finishing up the weekend, PROGRESS Wrestling head to new territory as they host Chapter 24: Hit The North! from The Ritz in Manchester. As with almost everything that PROGRESS do, it's already sold out (although you might get yourself a return ticket on Twickets) and that's not a surprise when you see what has been announced so far for their Manchester début. At last week's show in London, Zack Gibson made his intentions clear after he defeated Morgan Webster, all be it in controversial circumstances, to win the Natural Progression Series trophy when he announced he would be challenging for the PROGRESS Championship on December 6th. PROGRESS however, could not let Morgan Webster lose his championship opportunity im such a way and have therefore added
him to the match as well to challenge Will Ospreay. Ospreay has had some very tough opponents since he won the championship but this is his first multi-man defence. Gibson wants to add to The Origin's championship gold, Morgan Webster wants to right the wrong done to him by Gibson and Ospreay wants his championship reign to continue. This is a match where anyone could walk out the champion and everyone wants nothing more than having the gold around their waist. Speaking of The Origin, Nathan Cruz, El Ligero and Dave Mastiff will also be in action as the face Mark Andrews, Eddie Dennis & Jack Gallagher in a six-man tag team match. Cruz & Ligero originally won their first PROGRESS Tag Team Championship from Andrews & Dennis (known as F.S.U.) when they are known as The Faceless before becoming The Origin. Dave Mastiff on the other hand delivered a beating to Jack Gallagher before The Bastard joined The Origin. Andrews, Dennis & Gallagher all have unfinished business with The Origin and we're going to see that settled this Sunday in Manchester. When PROGRESS announced they were heading to Manchester, they wanted to show that they meant business. How did they do this? Well, the same way they always do. The announced the astounding match of Zack Sabre Jr vs Tommaso Ciampa. We could talk on length about how good this match is and how good each man is but we'd be wasting our time. Both men are easily known as two of the best wrestlers around right now. These two men have met during the Super Strong Style 16 tournament earlier in the year. Just like then, this will no doubt be a world-class contest. This Sunday, PROGRESS hit the north and they hit it hard!

Wrestle Ropes' Ready for the Weekend: September 2015 Week 3

As we approach another weekend we face the ever increasing problem of not where can we see some quality wrestling but rather how can we decide which events we want to see/ this weekend is no exception with a plethora of shows taking place. Let's take a small look at some of the events and get Ready For The Weekend!

Up first on Friday night, Grand Pro Wrestling are back at The Rose Club in Hindley, Wigan for Back to School. This event has a lot of bad blood and rivalries heading into it. One main conflict that will hopefully be settled is the one between Tabu and Rio, who were once GPW Tag Team champions, as The Island Brothers. However The Island Brothers are no more after Rio returned to GPW after a long absence and sided with Simon Valour before attacking his brother. Whatever Rio's reasons for his action, Tabu wants revenge on his brother and on September 18th he looks to get it. From one rivalry to another as Nick Maguire faces the former GPW British champion, El Ligero. Maguire has been focused on El Ligero for months now, appearing whenever The Mexican Sensation was around. This has visibly unsettled El Ligero and as such these two men are now going to face off one on one. Ligero is in need of a win since losing the GPW British Championship and Maguire could make a name for himself if he can defeat the former champion. It's all to play for in Wigan. The North West Rookie League has been running for a number of months now in GPW. A league designed to pair up and coming wrestlers with more experienced competitors of Grand Pro Wrestling. However, Soner Dursun took it upon himself to change the mentor he was given in Joey Hayes. Instead he paired himself with another mentor in the shape of Dylan Roberts. Now understandably Hayes has taken offence to this and in turn Dursun has shown no respect to Hayes. So on Friday night they're going to settle their differences in the ring when they go one on one. All of this plus the final of the North West Rookie League, a six-man tag team main event and appearances from Chris Ridgeway, Martin Kirby and more. Tickets are available here  (Prices - Family (2 adults, 2 children) - £28, Single - £8)

Moving on to Saturday and Pro Wrestling Chaos are at the Filwood Community Centre in Bristol for The King is Dead, Long Live the King. Sitting right at the top of the card is the King Of Chaos Championship match which will see Wild Boar defend his newly won championship against the former champion who he cashed-in his title match on, Mike Bird. Wild Boar chose his moment very careful before cashing in his championship match, opting to use it after Bird had finished a match with Mark Andrews. This has not pleased Bird at all. So much so that he's decided to enact his rematch clause at the earliest opportunity. Wild Boar has been a dominate force in PWC but then Mike Bird has been a very dangerous since winning the championship. Boar has now reached the top of the mountain in PWC but will Bird be able to push him off on Saturday. Speaking of dominate and dangerous, The Doomsday Killers have issued another open challenge for September 19th. The Killers have always been an oppressive group of individuals but have actually gotten even more threatening since they became a group of three following Jeckel's departure from the group. At the last event they destroyed a trio of men who dared to answer their challenge. Who and if anyone will answer the challenge this time is still to be seen. Pro Wrestling Chaos is known for a number of things, one of which is great tag team matches. Continuing the tradition of Saturday night, we will see two set of brother compete as The Hunter Brothers face The Dunne Brothers. All four of these men are great wrestler individually but as teams they take it to another level. The rumours of a tag team championship becoming a reality in the near future have caused the best teams in the country to show why they deserve to be the inaugural champions. Whoever wins this match could very well be in with a legitimate claim to those future championship belts. Tickets are available here (Prices £30 family, £10 general admission. First and second row are sold out)

Finally on Sunday, Futureshock Wrestling return once again to the Stockport Guildhall with another of the Uproar events. Futureshock Wrestling have always showcased a variety of match types along with wrestlers of various sizes and style. In a match that is very much a heavyweight contest, Charlie Garrett will compete against Mark Massa. These men both have a very similar hard-hitting, agile style yet they have never competed against one another. Garrett has been making waves in Futureshock since his debut. Massa on the other hand has struggled to pick up a win. However by no way means that he'll not give it his all on Sunday. This should be a great match to show what heavyweights can do. A that has come to the attention of many in the past few months is the group of Wonderland. A trio of three very dangerous and strange individuals. This group have taken to attacking numerous members of the roster, including 'Gentleman' John McGregor. So now we have reached a stage that McGregor wants some retribution on Wonderland and he looks to deliver it to Henry T Grodd. Grodd is a big, dangerous entity and the powerhouse of Wonderland. McGregor could deliver a blow to actions of Wonderland but he'll have to overcome the mountain of Henry T Grodd, who'll want to continue his group's mysterious plans. At last month's 11th Anniversary event, James Drake defeated three other men to become the Adrenaline Champion. A feat in itself. Now comes the time for Drake's first defence and it shall be no mean feat either as he faces one of the best in Europe in the shape of Bubblegum. Drake managed to overcome three men on track to winning the championship but the real test starts now in defending it. And test don't come much bigger than Bubblegum.
